On June 25, 2025, the HLAs community met in Wongema in Hornhuizen, a cultural meeting point surrounded by extensive fields in the quiet Groningen countryside. It was the perfect environment for an afternoon of creativity, collaboration and fresh ideas.

The day started at 13:00 with a warm welcome from Claudine, who set the tone for an energetic and inspiring meeting. This was followed by a 60-minute co-design session, led by WP1. In groups, participants explored what the HLAs toolbox could look like and how it could best support our fictional personas with different SES profiles, values, and needs. By approaching the issue from a people-centered, technology-oriented and environment-oriented perspective, the space quickly filled with lively discussions, discussions and new ideas.

After a short break, researchers from the ELSA Lab shared their insights, adding new perspectives to the discussion.

Without a doubt, the highlight of the day was the outdoor WP updates. We went out into nature for a 100 minute walk. At various points along the route, each WP gave a presentation. After each update, the group continued walking, creating plenty of room for questions, reflections and spontaneous conversations along the way.

After the joint steps we took, the day ended with a drink at Wongema. Surrounded by the inspiring landscape, the event ended with a warm atmosphere of shared progress and renewed motivation for the work ahead.
