Partners

Our partners

In addition to several knowledge institutions, within the Healthy Living as a Service project we also collaborate with several non-academic partners.

On this page, these partners introduce themselves and explain what their role is within the Healthy Living as a Service project.
KAW

KAW is a multidisciplinary agency. From three offices, we work on renewal projects of existing cities, villages and neighborhoods throughout the Netherlands. In our projects, we combine strategic advice with concrete planning. Our designs, advice and strategies always promote a healthy, livable and inclusive living environment. We emphasize spatial and financial accessibility for all, with extra attention to vulnerable groups.

With our architects and structural engineers, we develop affordable, sustainable housing, healthcare buildings, educational institutions and social facilities. Our urban planners work on existing neighborhoods, integrating social and spatial issues with climate adaptation and nature inclusiveness. With the deployment of our in-house experts in resident communication and participation, we contribute to effective collaboration between the professional world and residents.

Our clients include housing corporations, healthcare institutions, project developers and resident collectives, as well as municipalities, provinces and the national government. For substantive innovation and exchange of knowledge and insights, we work closely with knowledge and educational institutions.

In4Art

In4Art is a Europe-focused independent research and development organization for artistic experimentation and responsible innovation in the fields of food, production, health and biodiversity. In these fields, they explore and prototype in a multidisciplinary context the possibilities of technologies and economics that will influence our future in the shorter and longer term. The project Prosthetic X, which is a reference case for intuitive feedback and social, proactive preventive health interventions within Healthy Living as a Service, has looked at how to grow old in a healthy and beautiful way. This has led to several artificial prosthetics and a data body, which enable different possibilities for intuitive feedback and thus different kinds of communication about health. In4Art is sharing insight from Prosthetic X with Healthy Living as a Service and thinking question-driven how such intuitive feedback can be translated to wearables.

Akkedeer

With its Leefsamen service, Akkedeer ensures that the elderly can continue to live independently and safely at home. With the help of loved ones and if that is not possible with the help of professional caregivers. Smart sensors are in contact with loved ones and/or caregivers day and night. If something happens, they receive an alarm and can come and help quickly. Leefsamen works together with municipalities and other organizations in the care and welfare domain. The Leefsamen data platform also shares insights about the developing demand for care in municipalities.
