Here we explore various initiatives and collaborative projects that promote healthy lifestyles and environments for individuals and communities. These field labs focus on the integration of people, art and technology, and play an important role in shaping the future of health and wellness.

Overdiep Health Center

Various primary care providers work in Overdiep Health Center in Appingedam. Together, various care programs are developed and implemented and there is close cooperation with primary and secondary care providers, district nursing, welfare and the municipality. To promote a healthy(r) lifestyle, we offer exercise programs as part of the Combined Lifestyle Intervention (GLI),the National Diabetes Challenge and for overweight children.

University Medical Center Groningen

Healthy aging is one of UMCG's spearheads. The UMCG conducts research into healthy aging and pays attention to integrating lifestyle into patients' treatment processes. In addition, health and well-being are explicitly included in the personnel policy and lifestyle counseling and coaching sessions are offered to employees. This makes the UMCG one of the field labs of the Healthy Living as a Service project.

Groninger Villages

In Groningen villages, residents are working to improve livability. They do this through local initiatives such as care phone circles, volunteer networks for small requests for help, and local social activities. The Care Villages Groningen network has been set up to share these initiatives and learn from each other. Groninger Dorpen supports and facilitates this network, which also serves as a field lab for the Healthy Living as a Service project.

Innovation Workshop More Healthy Years for Appingedam

The innovation workshop More Healthy Years in Appingedam is working with citizens, Hanzehogeschool Groningen, municipality of Eemsdelta, welfare organization Cadanz and Eerstelijnszorg Appingedam to develop local initiatives for a healthy lifestyle and environment for residents. Students from the Hanzehogeschool are working on hands-on projects that promote involvement and ownership by residents. This project is part of the Healthy Living as a Service project.

Estate The Camping 't Zandt

In 't Zandt, one of the Groningen villages we are working with in the Healthy Living as a Service project, Drewes Wildeman has set up DeCamping 't Zandt estate. This functions as a Social Village Enterprise and provides a workplace for vulnerable people. It is a minimalist rural campsite on an old soccer field, where nature is given free rein and various social activities take place. Drewes also works here with college and university students on a variety of projects.

The LeefStijlstraat Emmen

The LeefstijlStraat in Emmen guides people to a healthier life with the help of various professionals. The program is developed in cooperation with knowledge institutions and healthcare professionals such as lifestyle coaches, exercise professionals, dieticians and GGZ. Participants choose their own guidance and lifestyle focal points. The LeefStijlstraat Emmen is one of the field labs of the Healthy Living as a Service project.

Bloom Zone Fryslan

In Friesland, villages and neighborhoods are working together to improve lifestyles and environments. These initiatives focus on better exercise, healthy eating, relaxation and involvement in the local community. The residents of the Bloeizone are in control and work to create an environment that contributes to healthy aging. The Healthy Ageing Network Northern Netherlands (HANNN) supports the Bloeizones of Friesland in this, and within the Healthy Living as a Service project we are working with HANNN and a number of Bloeizones as a field lab.

Technology & Care Academy

TZA works with healthcare organizations, municipalities and educational institutions as part of the Healthy Living as a Service project. It provides guidance on the adoption and acceptance of healthcare technologies and tests various technologies in practice to explore needs of both partners and end users. Users can learn about and try out healthcare technologies through Experience locations and the try service.

The Healthy Living Room

The Healthy Living Room is a bus that travels throughout the northern Netherlands offering free lifestyle checks. During the check, physical health aspects are measured and questions about nutrition, exercise, social contacts and well-being are asked. In The Healthy Living Room, we can also talk about health and other topics. It is an initiative of the Healthy Ageing Network Northern Netherlands (HANNN) and is one of the field labs within the Healthy Living as a Service project.
